If entrepreneur Ashton Henry believes in anything, he believes that everyone has the potential to make money work for them and work well. He has dedicated his life to helping others get their finances in order and has written a best-selling book on that exact theme, The Chemistry of Credit.
“I guess you could call me a disciple of financial literacy,” explained the 37-year-old Grenadian. “I believe fiercely in financial freedom and equipping as many people as possible with the tools needed to make that a reality.”
Ashton added, “The more self-sufficient people there are in any given community, the more empowered that community will be. Poor financial choices lead to mounting debt and poor credit, which makes it harder than ever for people to turn their lives around. A long time ago I made it my mission to help people get their finances back on track and become the architects of their own destiny.”
Ashton’s eureka moment came when it dawned on him one day that he was living from paycheck to paycheck, crippled by bad credit, and with no real free time to call his own.
Ashton explained, “Like many, I was working for a pittance whilst others were getting rich off my labor. Additionally, I was taking out more and more credit to buy the things I couldn’t afford, which led me to work more just to pay off the interest, and as a result, I had less and less free time to call my own. I vowed then and there that something had to change!”
And change it did. Tapping into his latent entrepreneurial spirit, Ashton made it his business to study all things related to finance and the economy. Before long, he realized he could master the system as opposed to letting the system master him.
Ashton now operates as a full-time and successful entrepreneur in the fields of credit, taxes, real estate, and investment, and is keen to pass on his knowledge to help others get ahead in life.
Ashton explained, “I now spend my time helping people understand how they can improve their credit scores, pay off their debts, and get their house in order. Once they attain a certain level of financial freedom, it enables them to invest in intangible assets such as property or securing their children’s education.”
To spread his message further, Ashton wrote the book, The Chemistry of Credit, which explains his philosophy and process in greater detail.
Ashton said, “I’m so pleased that the book has been published and it is selling so well. It means that more and more people now have the opportunity to improve their lives, and to me, that is everything.”
