Almost everyone is online. And they are not just on it, they are exploring it. And they are using it to fulfill all their needs and even develop new ones. The internet is a parallel, virtual world that has taken our collective imagination by storm. Things were so vastly different just at the turn of the millennium. And now look at the world, look at your world to realize how much has changed and how much it has changed us. The online world opened up avenues that mankind didn’t know existed until about 10 years ago. Now online stores are all the rage. And when Zamage, an American clothing store wanted to expand, they looked no further than their desktop. The move has been the turning point Zamage had been waiting for.
Technology is the soul of the internet. It enables change rapidly and expansively. Some of today’s online retail stores look as professional and put together as their offline avatars. And the average buyer, who’d otherwise be intimidated by the expensive tags and inexplicable couture is now able to browse with an air of acquired ease. Zac, the founder of Zamage, says, “For us, opening an online store wasn’t a question of why but when. Like all businesses, we too aspire to grow, but we like to let things take their time. So while we waited a good ten years before putting ourselves out there, I believe it was the right thing to do because by then we’d come to understand our brand from the inside out. We were straight-up street style, comfy wear that’s served on a platter of uncompromised quality. That’s what helped us create a loyal fanbase offline, and we aimed for no less with our online store.”
Talking more about their online store, Zac says, “Our online store serves our customers. With moving imagery and overall easy-on-the-eye designs, our customers feel at home when they visit our website. We are constantly updating our products and offering discounts to boost sales. We aim to define what our customers expect from us and in return learn what they need so we can give them more of that. We think of our customers as intelligent people and that helps us keep our communication straight-forward without any frills attached.”
With time, Zac hopes to further simplify the browsing process and include more payment gateway channels. With the pandemic causing unprecedented disruption in the market, online shopping is set to become its biggest avatar yet.
