“We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically.”- said Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and years later, a vision was born. Vikram Kalaskar and Nilesh Shedge started thinking beyond cubicles and the eight-hour office conundrum.
We are all connected. The Domino effect doesn’t spare the larger reality. Every step taken in the wrong direction misleads an entire civilization, and with the planet at risk, the stakes rise through the roof.
It takes passion, persistence and prudence to look beyond the horizon. In a world that’s so invariably commercial, Vikram and Nilesh dared to dream of a future, not about profits, but of the planet. After more than 12 years of experience working with global sourcing companies and major OEMs in the country, Vikram sought beyond the daily hubbub, and his collaboration with Nilesh, who himself boasted of seven-plus years as a Certified Energy Auditor, added hope to its realization.
Beginnings are always the hardest. The organization laid its founding stone in 2018 & conceptualized the idea of building an Energy Monitoring Software. What started as a momentous idea in someone else’s workplace gradually segued its way into a bigger warehouse office and a concrete mission- SaaS for the Society. Eventually, an IoT based software platform was developed to provide energy efficiency analytics to the industries & get launched in 2019 across India.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ashok Randive, having worked with Google Inc. for more than a decade, recognized the promise of the duo’s idea and hopped on to the wagon to guide the company in its pursuit.
“Nilesh and I met and discussed Energy Management at length. We knew that energy is the future, but as a startup, a lot would be at stake to venture into a domain of such intensity. The end goal, however, seemed a catch. Here was an opportunity to not just create something of our own, but also add to the society, to the planet, to the lives of people around us and Ashok joining the team only made it so much better”, says Vikram Kalaskar, who now acts as the CEO for the company.
Despite the challenges of B2B marketing, the company started operations virtually on Google Meet and collaborated with SB Engineering as a debutante in the energy sector in June 2019. Having received its first PO from its earliest client, “Enerlly” was launched as an Energy Management and Analytics Software in the following month after a series of updations in algorithm and features. Enerlly’s manifestation of using state-of-the-art technology to achieve sustainability garnered momentum with its second tie-up with Vulkan Technologies in the middle of a global pandemic.
While COVID-19 brought the world to a halt, Enerlly focused on improving features and enhancing user experience. As the clientele expanded, so did the family of Enerlly with newer departmental additions. Fresh work culture was induced with an influx of young energy, innovative ideas and creative enthusiasm.
As we move forward, we aim higher. Enerlly decisively shifted focus from simple Energy monitoring to strategic consultancy. The talent pool and grasp of in-house, certified experts pertaining to Energy Management would be invested to not only deliver real-time reports but assist users to save on money and resources.
Stepping into 2022, Enerlly boasts of incredible growth with more than 20 clients, including industry leaders like hubergroup India Pvt. Ltd. and Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Ltd., with a majority of interest procured during the worldwide lockdown. Besides, our services have been continually updated and diversified to curate a rather wholesome range of services.
