Kavitha Bharanidaran has broken the previous record of yoga marathon, set by Pradnya Patil. She has crossed 103 hours of continuous yoga performance. 31 years old Kavita Bharanidaran is a mother of a toddler, yet she smoothly beat the previous record, and claimed the Guinness Book of World Record by performing yoga for seven days long.

This was the recorded attempt by longest yoga marathon by female. The previous record was for 103 hours, which was done in Nashik, in 2017, and now Kavita has broken the record by huge margin by completing 170 hours. According to Guinness world record, she is now officially amazing.

According to Kavita Bharanidaran, she was not competing for 103 hours, she just wanted to check her ability, and she decided to see how long does it take her to reach the height. At first she decided to complete 216 hours in yoga marathon, but due to some family issues she had to cut a few hours, and decided to make it to 180 hours. For these 180 hours, she was skeptical about the situation, and thought that it was enough for now. She might be competing next year to achieve another milestone after this. She will be continuing making the records in coming years.

Kavitha Bharanidaran put a lot of trust in yoga and meditation. She wants to cross her ability now, may be she will be completing two times of this record in future. She shattered previous women record of 67 hours by surpassing with margin of more than 100 hours.

Kavitha Bharanidaran‘s yoga instructor says that she approached him a couple of months ago, which surprised him totally. As she has a 3 years old baby, it was definitely challenging for her to make it till this. She said it is definitely possible for her to cross 103. After listening to her desire, Kavitha Bharanidaran‘s instructor called her father, and talked with him about the situation. Her father gave positive response to his daughter’s ability, and they started to practice for the D-day.

Kavitha Bharanidaran‘s father is very proud of his daughter, for achieving such prestigious title of the world. It is a celebratory day for the family as well as the country. Kavitha Bharanidaran took 5 minutes break after every hour, and she was doing the difficult poses with perfection.

Yoga is an ancient activity of our country, and India religiously follows this culture even in 21st century. Western world has taken the idea of yoga from India, and they have involved themselves in this beauty.
