It is okay if the work is beyond your capabilities, and you failed to fulfill. But not to provide your best to achieve your goal is the worst thing you can do to your life. Salem Nayef Saeed Al-Akhdar Al-Kathiri also known as Salem Nayef is the acting President of United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation.
Salem Nayef is a great personality. Sports was one of his favourite activity, and he chose his career according to his own interests, rather than choosing on the basis of the pay scale. Salem Nayef believed that all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them, and he showed the courage, and wrote his own destiny.
Salem Nayef did not come from a high class background. He was born in a village of United Arab Emirates, and struggled through life to achieve his current prestigious platform. He did not limit his desires, and knew that what he believed he could achieve. It is proved from his life history that, it is hard to beat a person who never gives up.
Salem Nayef completed his degrees in Law from Cairo University and strategic planning from University of Sharjah. He also secured diplomas in sports management, and management engineering. He values the power of education, and always stays out of crowd as he believes that everything one can imagine is real.
Salem Nayef achieved many prestigious titles in his 36 years of life, and there are many more to come. When today’s generation feel bad about their situation, and fall in depression Salem Nayef stands out as a living example of hardwork, passion, strong desire, mindset, and discipline.
In 2011, Salem Nayef became the Member of the Board of Directors of the General Sports Federation of Governmental Institutions for His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Next year he was promoted to Assistant Secretary General of the General Sports Federation of Governmental Institutions. His Highness Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan – Honorary President of the Emirates Volleyball Federation nominated Salem Nayef as the Member of the Board of Directors of the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation in 2012.
In 2013, Salem Nayef earned the position of the Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Local Departments Takaful Fund. 2015 was one of the most memorable year of Salem Nayef‘s life as he became the First Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation.
His objectives are very simple. He says that, “you can either experience the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The choice is yours.”
His life proves that, if the hobby or passion get the light of education, and the person shows enough courage to touch the goal, then nobody can even stop him. Hold the vision, trust the process. Excellence is not an act, but a habit.
With all these positivity, Salem Nayef became the President of United Arab Emirates Volleyball Federation in the year of 2016, and still continuing the great work leading from the front. Salem Nayef is also the member of the Board of Directors of the National Olympic Committee of the United Arab Emirates, and Executive Director of Baniyas Sports Club.
